Iranian former deputy defense minister Ali Rheze Asgari supplied intelligence sources in the West with information regarding the sites that Israeli jets allegedly attacked on September 6, the Kuweiti Al Jareeda reported Friday.
Asgari defected from Iran several months ago and moved to an undisclosed location in the West.
In related news, the Saudi paper Al Watan reported Friday that American jets were hovering in Iraqi airspace close to the Syrian border during the raid. Reportedly, the USAF jets were meant to give aerial backup to Israel in case IAF warplanes would come to any harm.

The biggest story going and the MSM doesn’t know it is happening. The hapless nitwit progeny of Dan Rather do their best - God what an extremely expensive political cheerleading section the MSM is.

I’ve never heard about this. Am I the only one who hasn’t or is this more the doing of the biased DBM?
To: Jigajog
Its very likely that the US & Israel coordinated to suppress this story.

If the Bush admin went to the press and asked them not to report do you really think they would agree? I doubt it. More likely, Bush decided to act now and explain later. This course offers real security.

I hope you're right.
My hubby had a professor in engineering school that put the word IRAN on the board and told them, "This is where I'm originally from and it's also how I got out."

I wonder what proof there is that Israeli planes carried out the raid. It seems to me that Israel and the U.S. would both want to take out any potential Syrian/Iranian/(former Iraqi?) WMD’s, but only Israel would benefit from taking the credit for the raid. I also read on Strategy page this morning that the new Russian air defenses did not work against the Israeli aircraft—perhaps that was because it was stealth aircraft that carried out the mission?
Or maybe I just need to take off my tin foil hat...

Recent events regarding Iraq, Syria and Iran have put the muzzle on all but the most rabid of the get out now crowd in Congress.

You OBVIOUSLY don’t realize the importance of Paris Hilton not being able to participate in Octoberfest celebrations! I think you need to reexamine priorities before blasting our glorious, distinguished, nea...divine informational sources!! They report Paris, Brittany, Brad, Leonardo and the likes as headlines, and nuclear proliferation by terrorist states on page 33, so...we must bow down and worship with all our souls these Gods and ignore the other trivial nuisances!! You blasphemer!!

Or American cruise missiles launched from the Iraqi desert or even from the Syrian coast.
Yeah, I wondered if Israel was just our window dressing too. But I guess we have to go with the official story. No evidence to the contrary exists.
