What Rush ought to do is after they have id’d themselves as military, but before they begin there statement, ask them for their MOS and rating. Anyone really in the military will instantly know what that means and will answer. Any stumbling and stuttering will out the caller as a fraud and Rush could then call the phony out.

Excellent suggestion. Please post that to Rush’s site. He is pretty adept at identifying bogus seminar callers after all these years, impaired hearing or not.
I was in the Air Force. We don't have MOS's and ratings. We have job specialties and ranks. I'm afraid if I called in and was asked for my MOS and rating I would have to stammer through the answer as I translated Army to Air Force. I'm positive that many on this site would call me a phony as a result. Also, a lot of the 'phony soldiers' have enough military experience to answer that question anyway.
Side note, in the Air Force a 'rating' usually means you're a pilot.
I forget which radio show it is but the guy will ask the “vet” a couple questions about his unit, some of the weapons they use etc... Usually outs the fake vets.
The anti-war groups have a lot of fake vets who claim they have some standing because of their status.
How about that guy who wrote pieces for the NR but they were all figments of his imagination. Should we take his view points as legit.
