In a world of international terrorist plots on America and our interests, any VP has a possibility of coming to the Presidency in a tough situation.

This needs to be considered as the 2008 election proceeds. If a candidate is selected because (s)he adds “balance” to the ticket, (s)he may not be the right person for the job.

And as to the potential presidents, none of them should be completely anti-war. There may be a lot of resitance to GOING to war, but every President should be prepared in the face of the unknown to lead this country as Commander in Chief in a time of war.

No presidential candidate worth anything should be anti-war. Instead, a good presidential candidate should be willing, if necessary, to use American Military to secure the security of the United States.

That having been said, a good presidential candidate should never be a war-monger.
