Hat tip to LGF, who has a piece on this as well, highlighting this particular bit of Grassy Knoll's lunacy:

The idea that CBS News is a tool of the Bush administration, or played down the Abu Ghraib scandal, is laughable on its face. Blumenthal was one of the biggest scumbags in the Clinton administration, and he hasn’t changed a bit.

OK, so what’s new? Dan Rather has always stood by his stories, no matter how false, fake and anit-American they were.

They've said that the former anchor is "sad," "pathetic," "a loser," on an "ego" trip and engaged in a mad gesture "no sane person" would do, and that "no one in his right mind would keep insisting that those phony documents are real and that the Bush National Guard story is true." And they were only getting started! (Appropriately so!)
I think he's a sniveling whiner, myself. And a darn poor journalist when it came to the subject at hand.

Anyone taking odds that this will EVER go to trial? I think CBS will settle rather than reveal the depths of their collusion with the DNC in coordinating the “Fortunate Son” advertisement buy with the bogus document release by See.B.S..
I think Gunga Dan is crazy like a fox. They will settle for an undisclosed sum is my prediction.

Rather is a pathetic loser...and always was. Given that Walter Cronkite was a tough act to follow, shallow Dan had enough time to make his own mark in the world of news journalism...and he did. Dead ass last every year in the network TV news business. Now he’s becoming even a bigger jerk by trying to prove he wasn’t a jerk in the first place. Still a pitiful jerk...and EVERYBODY knows it!!!

Wow “Sid the Sleeze” rears his head again. I had wondered where that Clintoid was hiding out. Hard to knows who is more of a slime: Blumenthal or Ickies?
Sid be attempting miracle writing these days if he is actually trying to resurect Dan Rather’s reputation.

Mmmm, Sid...If CBS was looking to suppress Rather’s report, they picked an extremely strange way to do it. They broadcast the report. In prime time, even. They released the documents. Put them on the Web, even. That the story fell apart once the public got hold of it is not really CBS’ fault. Well, at least not in the sense that Dan can sue them for it. Just a thought, both to Dan and Mary Mapes in particular and to CBS News in general: Maybe y’all should banish from your vocabularies the phrase “too good to check”.

Looks like the DIM’s aren’t getting the donations they had hoped for. They had to dust off the “Rather Absurd” to try to get the rage up for those last minute donations. Yep, they are puking all the key words to get the vitriol going and the wallets open.
