Yep - because that’ll certainly bring gas prices down, won’t it. The pundits were right - the DemoRATS will now be using the Global Warming Chicken Little Umbrella in order to institute new taxes “for our own good.” Trouble is, of course, that everyone’s getting sick of both the global warming mantra in general and these idiot Dems in Congress in particular. We were warned they’d raise taxes and OH LOOK! They are.
Brilliant idea. Many Americans are up in arms over the high price of gas, so this will go over really well.
I suppose though that the people screaming loudest about all that gasoline revenue lining the pockets of Bush, Cheney, and their big oil buddies will have no problem paying much higher taxes because this is “for the children!”

Simply to point this out....living in Germany....there is a $5 a gallon tax on gas...a 19 percent sales tax, a 25-35 percent income tax, and a 13.5 percent tax for healthcare. Any idiot who thinks a gas tax will cover medical costs...is simply not facing the massive cost of medical coverage for families.
