women with cervical cancer had a 40 percent higher chance of getting divorced than other women. Men with testicular cancer were 20 percent more likely to get divorced than similar men without cancer.

It appears from this that they did not compare the situations of patients with these forms of cancer to those of other types of cancer patients ... not to mention leukemia, Parkinson's Disease, or accident-induced paralysis.

It's supposed to be news that a marriage is more likely to break up when one spouse has a catastropic medical problem? Hogwash. I think the reports just wanted to talk about cervices and testicles.

What a shocker!! Stressful situations — illness, death of a child, money problems, infidelity — can result in divorce. I’m stunned.

OR could there be a link between extramarital promiscuity and those types of cancer (extramarital promiscuity leading to said divorce)?
