Dumbo Democrat Spitzer does not know the INS is now ICE? (snicker) Not to worry----the guy sure knows how to lie and connive his way into public office.

BACKUP During the 1998 AG campaign, Dem Spitzer indignantly denied allegations by his GOP opponent, Dennis Vacco (a top-notch pro-life conservative), that Spitzer's wealthy father had provided millions in loans to his AG campaign. Spitzer insisted he was using only his own money (family members are limited by law to $110,000 in total contributions) and accused Vacco of "smearing" his father. Not until he'd actually taken office did Spitzer admit that Dennis Vacco had been correct, after all. In fact, it turned out Spitzer, despite earlier denials, had done the exact same thing during his unsuccessful 1994 run for AG.

NOTE WELL: Now how did the loving family convert all that money to sonny's election? The altruistic Spitzer family runs a "do-good foundation." The IRS has noted that some foundations are prime money laundering vehicles that use phony accounting and fake line items like "LEGAL, CONSULTING AND ADMIN FEES" that are tax evasion schemes. Some foundations also put ghost employees on the payroll to skim off monies.

Spitzer's a hyphenate slut, sucking up to voting blocs---even illegal voting blocs---to advance his sordid political ambitions. This DMV hyphenate suckup and anything involving Spitzer should be looked at under a powerful microscope. People like Spitzer should stay out of the public's business.

Same thing just proposed here in NJ. Great! Illegal immigrants carrying around State Documentation....two thirds of which still won’t have insurance.

Spitzer is an idiot.
This is the same clown that tried to break the indian treaties to collect gas and cigarette taxes to pay for his social programs.
He does not understand that they are a sovereign nation, it would be the same thing as trying to collect taxes from Canada.

1. Call the DMV there from different states, in other words, from out-of-state.

2. Tell them you are NOT A RESIDENT of the State Of New York.

3. Tell them for personal reasons, though, you wish to establish a presence there, at least on paper.

4. Ask them if they will let you get a drivers license through their office, even though you are not in the state legally.

5. See what their answer is.

6. Tell them that you also occasionally drive without your license, so would that be OK to skirt "just that one law from time to time" and leave the license at home when you visit New York State and drive as "undocumented"?

7. Report same to media, internet, late night comedy show hosts, friends and family.

They’re trying to claim in Spitzer’s office that the law which requires a SSN to get a NY license was never intended for illegal aliens. These are your typical liberals who believe in selective enforcement and defining the law as they please. Even Bloomberg has come out against this, which tells you how bad the idea is. I certainly hope the GOP follows through on a lawsuit because Spitzer has obviously overstepped his authority and needs to be slapped down.

Can the NYS legislature stop this? Should I be calling my local senator and assemblyman?

QUISLING: a synonym for traitor, someone who collaborates with the invaders of his country.

Current federal law 8USC 1373(a) PROHIBITS SANCTUARY CITIES. It reads as follows:

"Notwithstanding any other provision of federal, state, or local law, a federal, state, or local government entity or official may not prohibit, or in any way restrict any government entity or official from sending to, or receiving from, the Immigration and Naturalization Service information regarding the citizenship or immigration status, lawful or unlawful, of any individual."

U.S. Constitution, Article 4 Section 4:

"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government,

and shall protect each of them against Invasion;"

Invasion: \In*va"sion\, n. [L. invasio: cf. F. invasion. See Invade.] [1913 Webster]

1. The act of invading; the act of encroaching upon the rights or possessions of another; encroachment; trespass.

If Spitzer were head of hiring at the CIA, I suppose he would require either:

1) The applicant to pass a security check, or

2) A letter stating that the applicant failed a security check, plus 6 “points” of identity proof, with a foreign passport counting 3 points.

If this preposterous kind of policy spreads to other states, we will have a de facto North American Union in no time.
