RUDY'S GUN SELLOUT; A SORRY PANDER TO THE NRA (the dirty game of kicking conservatives to the curb)
NY POST ^ | September 27, 2007 | Jonah Goldberg, contributing editor, National Review.

Claims he has "evolved."

....there was no way Giuliani could say anything remotely pleasing to the NRA and remain consistent to his record. The former mayor's positions were largely indistinguishable from the Clinton administration's, from which he received lavish praise for helping the feds impose an assault-weapons ban, among other NRA no-nos.

The religious cleansing of the Repub Party is a very dirty game being played by a bunch of remorseless people---Rooty and the Rudesters. Kicking conservatives to the curb would obliterate the checks and balances the Founders put into the fledgling government. Rooty would put total control of the the US government into the hands of liberals.

BACKUP Giuliani told the NRA why he initiated NYC lawsuits blaming firearms mfg for criminal misuse of guns: "At the time, as mayor I was taking advantage of every law and every interpretation of law I could think of to reduce crime," he whined. Adding, "I probably think that lawsuit probably has gone in a direction that I probably don't agree with at the moment, probably."

Translation: "I probably don't agree with it at the moment because I'm desperate. I want the votes of you dimwitted knuckle-dragging gun nuts. Sucking up to you right-wing rednecks will get me the votes I desperately need to make a decent primary showing. I can't wait to get my hands on all that federal power. I will nail your stupid gun rights with every agency in Washington. You guys will be lucky if I let you carry a cap pistol."

He has evolved. From a proud lib to one trying to whitewash his liberalism.

Here's "El Douche" supporting the second amendment aong with fellow New Yorker Chuck Schemer and Dim Brady

Anyone who has any consideration for their rights and votes for this neo national socialist is a complete fool.

Julie-Annie can STILL forget about ever getting my vote—no matter how much he tapdances to the NRA audience. I know a gun-grabber when I smell one.

Of more interest to me is the fact that the Dems are holding up the background check legislation even though the NRA has endorsed it. Apparently, the Dems are afraid to pass gun legislation even if the NRA is on board. Maybe they think it’s a trick or something.

He’s “evolved” all right.

I don’t trust him as far as I could spit.

People are allowed to change their minds.
We just need assurance that they haven’t merely changed their words.

As someone recently put it:
The candidates should answer three questions -
- how many guns do you own?
- model, action & caliber of each?
- last time used, circumstances, favorites - and why?

Oh I "trust" him all right. I trust him to be the same anti-gun agitator that he's always been if he ever gets elected. Just more of the typical New Yorkers' contempt for the "dummies" that live in "fly over country" He thinks we're stupid, and in the case for anyone who votes for he'll be right.

Don’t bother. Rudy allegedy changed his mind on or about 9/11. However we have pro-gun control statements from him much later than that - 2004 at least.

He’s lyin’. I ain’t buyin’.

He’d have a much better chance if he told me “Yes, I’m a Northeastern Liberal - pro-gun control, pro-abortion, pro-illegal aliens, pro-queer. But you should ignore all that, ‘cause I’m also a nasty, vindictive SOB and the b@st@stds hit MY city and I’m going wage war without pity, mercy or respite on the people and nations who sponsor and support Islamofascist terrorism, including our alleged ‘allies.’ They’re all gonna die and they’re gonna die screaming.”

People are allowed to change their minds.

True enough.

However, Rooty's new words do not match his actions. Rooty and his backers are relentless in trying to ditch conservatives off the Repub Party and are engaged in religious cleansing of the party.

By contrast, Mitt Romney, for example, has admitted to changing his mind AND AT THE SAME TIME is assiduously courting conservatives.

Betcha Rooty does not even own a cap pistol.

I'm tired of all these candidates saying they "support" the 2nd Amendment. The question I want them to answer is: "As President, for which existing Federal gun control law or laws will you submit a bill to repeal?"

Life goin' nowhere. Somebody help me. Somebody help me, yeah. Life goin'

The whole Rudy McRomney tier is moderate-democrat... give them a socialist-democrat congress, and watch the bi-partisan, comity-lovefest begin!

Have we seen him and Hillary together? Are we sure that Hillary is not Rudy in drag? I can’t see any difference in their policies. They both use the royal I. Whatever I want is right, for you the great unwashed.
