Now if the Brits, and Slovaks could only turn their attention to their real enemy, the muslims, why they’d have it made.
Indeed! Hopefully it won't take another terror attack to make that happen "sigh"
Yup, and the two female officers look to be in junior high.
They may well be.
Revealed The hijab-wearing 17-year-old Muslim girl hired as a community police officer (U.K.)
Good grief!
Yes, young British lads have not endeared themselves to
the residents of Bratislava, but have indeed become the scourge of the city.
They show up on a Friday afternoon, get drunk as fast as they can and prowl the streets of old town, usually in groups of 4 to 6, laughing like hyenas. peeing and puking in the streets and fountains, and damaging monuments.
You are right about the Tatras. They can be quite crowded
with not only Slovaks, but many Poles, Czechs, Hungarians, and Austrians.
Outdoor activities are very popular here with the entire country being a maze of hiking and bicycling trails.
My last hike, 4 weeks ago was 30 KM. Come back when you can stay longer.
LOL> I happen to have an in-law from Long Island. Hispanic too. She's about as white-looking as anyone around my part of Wisconsin. Which considering this area is heavily populated with Scandinavians makes her pretty light-skinned. I'm against all racial classifications.
A kind of weasel, so distant cousin of a badger. In winter they are referred to as ermines. Nice fur coats, IMHO!
Oops, I see you caught on. When it comes to the weasel family, ferrets are neat pets, otters are very entertaining, skunks are to be avoided, and wolverines are not at all nice!
Well, the term has become so corrupted over the past 25 years, much of it from polltical correctness crap.
I am active on a Slovak forum that has many Brits, one of which is a pure troll who post under many names, and always to prevaricate.
One time when I was complaining about the British stag party
kids, he called me a racist. It is a bit strange, considering that I am Scotch and Irish... go figure.
With PC, if you say anything derogatory about ANYONE, you are called a racist.
I am from the old school that recognizes Caucasian, Negroid, and Mongoloid. Of course there are numerous subdivisions.
LOL!.....8^)
One can recognize "racial" subdivisions just for scientific interest, but what in the end is the point? In America (and I assume many Western democracies) we are supposed to be judging people by the content of their character and not their "race" in the words of Martin Luther King.
I realize the left has a huge interest in maintaining "racial" divisions, but conservatives should be leading the fight to get away from such classifications. The recent incident in England is such an example of twisted reasoning and ridiculous racial terminology to haul some poor ten year old before the court to achieve "racial justice". The whole thing is absurd on the face of it. So as regards the efforts of liberals to foster "racial" classifications I say BAH!
The West’s reinvention of Babel seems to be going quit well.
“Gypsy perhaps? The article was studiously careful in avoiding such specifics, as was the photographer.”
I am a Slovak. I read about the attack on brusselsjournal.com. Then I googled the poor boy’s name and found this forum - among many others.
As some people mentioned - the media avoided any information about race or ethnic background of the woman. In Slovakia there are 5 000 000 inhabitants of which there are 500 000 Roma people. I don’t care if someone calls me a racist but the fact is that coexistence with Roma is more than difficult. There are artists and educated people among them but the big majority live in their own world. We do not mix, they do not mix. For centuries. Here is an introduction to this problem by a man who would be considered by many people in Slovakia to be too soft:

As I said, thanks to Political Correctness in British media I cannot be sure if the woman is Roma. But I can at least guess. Here are two quite different versions of what happened:

http://news.independent.co.uk/education/education_news/article3010217.ece
In the Independent article you can find this “It is very hard not to conclude there is some racism behind this. We do the same work that everyone else does picking crops, working in pack houses. But Slovakians have darker skin than other Eastern Europeans. I don’t hear of Poles being abused in the street. But often I hear of it from my Slovakian friends.”
Well, you certainly wouldn’t be able to tell apart a Pole/Slovak/Russian judging by the colour of skin. It is as if you said native Swedish are darker then Danes.
Also I cannot imagine a white Slovak accusing another white person of racism against them. Doesn’t make sense. That’s what we get accused of when we say something against Roma.
Also “an increasing number of Slovak families in the area had led to friction with British parents”. What? Almost all white Slovaks who go to Britain are young singles who want to earn some money before they come back home to buy a flat/house and start a family. Slovak Roma are known to travel Western Europe to collect welfare benefits wherever possible. The more family members you have with you the better.
Roma or not that woman is either a psycho or a criminal and should be put to jail for a long time. Accusing the boy borders with idiocy. I am also not happy the British media never mentioned the ethnic/racial background of the woman. Closing one’s eyes does not solve any problem. Even less so for Roma because if Slovaks find out what name Roma get them abroad the deep divisions get deeper.
