That he doesn’t wear his faith on his sleeve or use it as a political tool is actually refreshing.

Oh, and he is correct on the proper role of the federal government/legislation in something that is NOT within its jurisdiction.

“That he doesn’t wear his faith on his sleeve or use it as a political tool is actually refreshing.”

No, animosity toward your comment at all, but I was thinking, What would really be refreshing would be to see a candidate (or a president) who lives out their faith (the principles of their faith) in daily practice, day-after-day, week-after-week, year-after-year.

If a President claims to be a Christian, and doesn’t want to “wear it on his sleeve,” (which I take to be used as a negative comment), then what criticism would a man draw if he really just lived as a Christian? I wonder.

What if a U.S. president said, “There will be no official business conducted on Sunday, and my family and I will be attending Sunday School, Sunday morning worship, and the Sunday evening evangelistic service -— EVERY Sunday. In fact, I will be teaching a Sunday School class every Sunday morning at my church. Unless there is a genuine emergency, do not disrupt me. If Putin or the queen or Sarkovy fly in on Sunday, tell them to get a room, and I’ll see them on Monday.”

And what if a U.S. president were to conduct a weekly Bible study in the White House for any of the staff and any of the Congress who wanted to attend . . . no pressure to attend, it is not a job requirement at all.

What if a U.S. president were to say, “If you have your political parties — I mean the swing and dance and rock and booze kind —, I don’t care to attend . . . don’t expect me to attend . . . don’t even invite me — I WON’T SHOW UP.”

What if a U.S. president were to tell his advisers and legislation people, “Don’t ever put on my desk a piece of legislation which attempts to legitimize anything that was obviously viewed by the American people as being immoral or perverse prior to the Second World War.”

What if a U.S. president were to give his testimony as to how he became a Christian and how he knows Jesus Christ, to all visiting foreign heads of state?

I mean, just live as a Christian.

Being a faithful church-goer is not wearing your faith on your sleeve.

I don’t find it refreshing at all, we are living in a very politically correct world. It seems most of our people in Government don’t want to talk about that topic. How can it be refreshing that Fred just joined the PC crowd? Things have gone too far left. Personally, I want someone who is willing to get into the left’s face. As far as Hillary goes, ignore what she says about her church, she is an obvious fraud, she has sinister plans up her sleave and she will do and say whatever.
