“There is no question that this issue doesn’t stop here,” said Cecilia Muñoz, senior vice president of the National Council of La Raza”

We need to hear from La Raza like we need the president of Tehran to immigrate to the U.S.

And why is this racist militant organization getting our tax dollars?

"The longer we wait, the more talented young people we close the door of opportunity to."

Let these "young immigrants" return to Mexico or wherever else they belong and look for their "doors of opportunity" there (if they can find their taxpayers to pony up the $$$ to pay for them.

"They want to move on with their lives and do good things...

Shaking my head again. I just hear all the bad things like the rapists, drunken drivers that keep killing people, gang members etc. I really don't seem to hear of any of the good things...Didn't seem like a Dream Act for us....more like a Nightmare Act.

"I'm disappointed for thousands of young people whose lives are just in limbo," he added. "They want to move on with their lives and do good things, and unfortunately we haven't been able to pass the laws to make that happen."

Are there no colleges in Mexico? Why don't they just go home to go to school. Or maybe they can go to Canada. Surely the wonderful and compassionate Canadians wouldn't throw them out.

I would have loved to pay in-state tuition to the University of California. But I had to shell out the full out-of-state tuition the whole time I was there.

Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., has been seeking to attach the DREAM Act to the defense authorization bill pending in the Senate.

I wrote to my senators and let them know that not only was I opposed to the Nightmare Act, I was particularly enraged that the Dick wanted to attach it to the defense bill.

HALLELUIAH!

I had to pay for my three kids’ college tuition and every thing else and it was not cheap! We got buy, I drive an old car, etc. The government didn’t give us a dime!

I told the kids it might come to a point when young people must go to Mexico, give up US citizenship, sneak back in, get freebie college.

My son goes to Concordia U. Irvine, Ca. Private college, no instate or out of state tuition, all the same. Costs $15K a semeseter JUST FOR TUITION AND DORM. Does not include books, parking, insurance, gas, clothes, etc. Tell the US Government that as soon as they pay me back for all the money I have spent on three kids in college since 1999 - at least one, sometimes all three in college since 1999 - as soon as Uncle Sam repays me for all that $$$$, THEN I will be more inclined to help the Illegals.

Of course that will never happen. We are legals.

If the GOP doesn’t incorporate all these Dem freebies for illegals into ads during next year’s campaign, they will be losers. You can’t tell me that the average US voter is keen on paying for some illegal’s college education when he can’t afford to send his own kids to college because of insanely escalating education costs.

FTA:

” “We will try to block it,” said Sen. Trent Lott, R-Miss.

Some Senate Republicans, including Texans Kay Bailey Hutchison and John Cornyn, object to the immigration measure being brought up on a defense bill.

“Putting extraneous things on this bill isn’t helpful,” Hutchison said. “

When politicians decide to be honest, forthcoming and upfront with the voters, they will gain respect. But, hiding anything in a bill, trying to ‘sneak’ it through - is not only unfair, dishonest, underhanded and deceiptful - it is infuriating!

YOU GOT THAT RIGHT!

No one helped ME pay for MY college tuition 1969-1973. I couldn’t get government college student loans so I had to get regular bank loans, which I repaid myself. Now I pay for my kids’ college. and you are RIGHT tuition keeps going up. It was $11 per credit hour when I stared at OSU in 1969. It was something like $363 per credit hour at UT last time I checked.

The promoters of this bill are traitors.

"There is no question that this issue doesn't stop here," said Cecilia Muñoz, senior vice president of the National Council of La Raza.

You mean La Raza is an enemy of the USA? Shocking I tell ya!...

As long as the current leadership is in play at the RNC, there probably will not be a serious effort to win. The RNC seems to have trouble recognizing winning issues to bury the democrats, and the democrats could be buried if the RNC would get their heads straight. But many in the RNC seem to only have destruction in mind for the Republican Party, and a firm desire to help the democrats by staying quiet. I truly have a difficult time understanding why.....
