You can wtach my movie “Witless Protection” come spring ‘08. It stars Larry the Cable Guy, a good conservative Christian American. Of course, it is a silly comedy, so don’t expect “Citizen Kane.”

>>>>>“If you include Arnold Schwarzenegger-type conservatives...

That means faux conservatives. Schwarzy is a liberal.

As long as it’s not “Delta Farce!”

I am forever amazed at how Jesus name is used in movies...why use that name as a cuss word? It amazes and sickens me.

Anymore Crossfire Trail efforts in your future? That was a good John Wayne style western.

Liberals like to whine about the 1950’s and the so called Hollywood “blacklist”. The dirty little secret is that the blacklist is still around, only the names on the list are now conservatives who won’t keep their mouths shut.

“But they keep their mouths shut.”

Good for them. They’ve figured out that the public wants to be entertained by them, not subjected to their political opinions.

I sure hope not. Larry and I think “Witless” is a much better movie. We’ll see what the ticket-buying public has to say in a few months...

Thanks so much for mentioning “Crossfire” in the same sentence with the Duke!

I am working on another western, but it’s only in the early stages right now.

Just saw (in the last months) "Fracture" and "Perfect Stranger," both of which were super thrillers/suspense movies.

BTW, for television, "John from Cincinnati" is really different, but captivating. HBO has gotten some decent original programming. ("Rome" was fantastic.)

Jesus name as a cuss word is standard in Hollywood movies these days. I think the last movie I saw that was free of it was “We Are Marshall” (great movie btw) but I can’t think of another recent movie like that.

I’m not sure it’s true that outspoken conservatives don’t get work in Hollywood. Cyrus Nowrasteh, who wrote “The Path to 9/11,” has been quite vocal - and he seems to be doing fine. I have never gotten the feeling that I lost out on a gig because of my politics, even though everyone knows where I stand.

“Rome” is brilliant. I think it ranks up there with “I, Claudius.”

Most of the conservatives working in Hollywood are below the line folks, the blue collar types who drive the trucks, pull the cable, hammer the sets together, etc. The liberal loudmouths are higher visibility individuals like actors, directors, writers etc. These are the self-important “creative” types who tend to be left wingers.

You’re welcome. Good job.

Crossfire Trail is one of my five favorite westerns of the last 30 years. Wayne`s films have been at the top of my list for over 50 years.

If people stopped buying the garbage that comes out of Hollywood, boycotted it’s programming, movies and music, people could make a difference.

The Duke. They just don’t make ‘em like that anymore.
