For the past six years, the road to Bill Clinton has often run through Douglas Band, a 34-year-old former White House intern who has helped manage Mr. Clinton's time, accompanied him around the world and even fielded some of his calls.
Two years ago, Mr. Band befriended a handsome and charming Italian businessman named Raffaello Follieri. The young Italian, now 29 years old, had moved to New York in 2003 to launch a business buying and redeveloping Roman Catholic Church properties. He claimed close ties with Vatican officials that would smooth the way for deals, according to business associates and material issued by his company, Follieri Group LLC. He also said he could help Mr. Clinton's wife, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, with Catholic voters during her presidential campaign, people in the Clinton camp recall.
As a gatekeeper to the former president's web of business and charitable enterprises, Mr. Band helped Mr. Follieri get into business with Mr. Clinton, according to people involved with the three men. In 2005, Yucaipa Cos., a Los Angeles investment firm where Mr. Clinton has been a partner and a senior adviser, agreed to invest up to $100 million in Mr. Follieri's church-property venture.

“Birds of a feather flock together.” The old adage is certainly true in the case of the Clintons. These two grifters attract crooks like manure attracts flies.
Wow, this is pretty messy. How many times with the Clintons get away with this response?

Hope he doesn’t have a sudden accident or commit suicide
The most interesting part of this story is Mr. Band’s rise from an intern to a high powered personal aide to Clinton. According to the story, Mr. Band escorted Monica Lewinsky to the 1995 White House Ball. My guess is he got his job so he’ll stay quiet on all he knows.

Talk about laundering money. The Clintons seem to do this all the time.
Also, isn’t it odd that a former President and his wife who came to the office with few assets and left with few are now amongst the elite?
This is our world today where the elites get richer and the poor(us)get poorer. Make no mistake; there is some sort of plan like globalization where they take a poor country like Mexico and balance it out with America by making Mexico richer and America poorer. The regular people of these countries won’t win; but the elistists will. Our children will suffer as will our grandchildren. I see them taking several jobs in their lifetimes; but their last job will not be as good as the one before and they will have to take it. It’s all about money. The save the whales group types you see out here now and environmentals and Al Gore are not about saving anything anymore. They are funnel groups paying political payoffs now. When have you heard anything much about saving this or that anymore? Maybe a tweak here or there. These agencies are about laundering money now; not about any causes other than money.
This is solely my opinion and it’s not set in stone. The powers that be have a plan but that is not set in stone either because they don’t exactly know what is going to happen; but they are going to graft as much as possible.
You know the person that invented the computer should be shot for making the world smaller so we have globalization.

Are we to believe that Clinton has made 40 MILLION DOLLARS and Doug Band is satisfied with a SALARY??? ANd that he gave away that $400,000.00??? Yeah right!!

After Bill destroyed Peter’s company, several months later he went into business with Burkle. We have always wondered if that is why he did it. Burkle had a much better deal.
In a perfect world, an IRS agent would be knocking on Mr. Band's door at this very minute.
Our govt is filled with Clintonoids.....NOTHING will happen to them...NOTHING....at least here on earth.
