What a shame. I thought they would have gone with Holly hunter in that role, since she and liam neeson read the letters of Lincoln and Mary together sometime ago on Cspan. They were absolutely superb.

Holly Hunter is about 50 times the actress dear old Sally is, also. Her performance in "The Piano" was superb, IMO. Here she is in her new sexy TNT series "Saving Grace".

Holly Hunter also read for Mary Todd Lincoln in an excellent PBS documentary of the Lincolns. Sally Fields is a fine actress though, if Steel Magnolias and Forrest Gump is any indication.
