Oh we have seen how Third World nuts in Iraq and Lebanon have been destroyed by superpower like Israel and the United States...
What a barf...
In war, the first tool is the will. The terrorist are more willing to fight than we do, and we will LOSE the WoT if nobody stands up.
‘Pretending that our problems with Iran only date back to 1979 is ridiculous, too. The U.S. had been involved in Iranian affairs all the way back in the Eisenhower administration, and we were instrumental in toppling the duly-elected Mossadegh government in the early 1950s.’
Nobody ‘pretends’ that on this thread. Carter’s mistakes hastened, at the very least, the overthrow of the Shah. His ill worded, now infamous (In Iran anyway) ‘toast’ lit the fuse.
Even accepting your assertion - doesn’t change anything today so lets let it ride for the time being - does not address the simple fact its a religion based war being waged against us globally, with the goal of toppling this nation as its primary objective.
Just how does one negotiate with religious zealots?
Pretty much the whole world was crystal clear in the 1990's that Saddam had WMDs.
Probably because he proved he had them by using them.
The only real question is "Where did he hide them?".
Arrogantly clinging to your failed political doctrines because you cannot cope with the fact that you have entered old age and the world is a vastly different place then it was when you were young is, to use Pat Buchanan's word, infantile.
Well not quite. Those on the ground inspecting did not think so. Those creating forged documents did not think so either or they wouldn't bother to forge.
There that the ticket. IGNORE all factual reality to keep screaming these absurd failed Neo Isolationist dogmas. Too bad for you all this is NOT the USA of your childhood. The world has changed. It is a much more assessable, much more economically intertwined place now.Whoa there killer. Try reading what I wrote.

The only real question is "Where did he hide them?".The UN inspectors did actually destroy a pretty large arsenal of WMD in Iraq. So your argument doesn't really work.
And now they are protecting Iran’s cultists, and want them to remain a powerful force against Israel.
Poor Pat, rationalizing his hatred towards Israel by saddling up with the “stability” crowd, as forced him into irrational knots.
For “stability” in the ME for the last 30 years, means don’t mess with the terrorist run States, for they are busy blowing up women and children in Israel and worldwide, with impunity.
That sounds like you agree with Cindy Sheehan.
Why bother with a test if you have the designs of proven weapons that have been tested.
Israel has the nukes. What the hell do you think those reactors at Dimona in the Negev Desert are making. It ain't roses they are making.
Israel has enough nukes to reduce Iran's infrastructure to ashes. It would not take Iran off the face of the earth but Iran would cease to be a country and civil war would break out after an attack by Israel. Tehran has several million people in it. Two 250 kiloton weapons would take out millions. A strike on Iran's port facilities would render Iran penniless as she could not export oil. Israel can do this. However, this is the Samson option to bring the temple down on yourself and kill your enemies in the process. Israel would do this only after a first strike against them. Considering the size of Israel a first strike with just a few tens of weapons would destroy her as a nation. However, her military would still be able to carry out the Samson Option.
I know that.
Ketsu and ex-snook are malignantly oblivious to that.
If anyone wants infantile, I’ll give them Pat’s understanding of economics.
Right, we’ll do it your way.
Bin Ladan’s dead.
Actually, Pat is completely rational. He also is interested in advancing the interests of the United States, not of favored foreign countries in the Mideast. This certainly sets him apart from the neocons, who want to spend American blood and treasure to protect Israel.
