A House resolution urging President Bush "not to go forward with the North American Union or the NAFTA Superhighway system" is – according to its sponsor Rep. Virgil Goode, R-Va., in an exclusive WND interview – "also a message to both the executive branch and the legislative branch."
As WND previously reported, on Jan. 22 Goode introduced H.C.R. 40, titled "Expressing the sense of Congress that the United States should not engage in the construction of a North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) Superhighway System or enter into a North American Union with Mexico and Canada."
The bill has been referred to the House Subcommittee on Highways and Transit of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
WND asked Goode if the president was risking electoral success for the Republican Party in 2008 with his insistence on pushing for North American integration via the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America, or SPP.
"Yes," Goode answered. "You won't hear the leadership in the Republic Party admit it, but there are many in the House and Senate who know that illegal immigration has to be stopped and legal immigration has to be reduced. We are giving away the country so a few very rich people can get richer."
How did he react when President Bush referred to those who suggest the SPP could turn into the North American Union as "conspiracy theorists"?

Well as usual, after the debate, there will be those, including the President, who will simply deny that the debate happened.
IMHO the prez doesn’t give a tinkers damn about the Republican party, conservatives or what we “little people” think.
I do believe that there is a cabal of so called elites who are doing whatever is in their power to make many of these things happen. I don’t think you’ll be seeing any serious investigations of them though.
What you will be seeing are tin-foil-hat investigation of anyone who publicly either announces opposition to their plans or, more importantly, anyone who attempts to alert the public of the existence of those plans.

All we have heard for the last 48 hours or so is about Iamanutjob. Although I have to admit, he is a tyranical little fruitcake dictator(I read on some FR thread, The Persian Pipsqueak); however,it appears, The Persian Pipsqueak does a better job protecting Iran's borders, than our president does protecting ours.
The whole NAFTA HIGHWAY hallucination is the most bizarre part of the story ~ I counted 35 different major multi-lane roads connecting Texas to Mexico just a few weeks ago.
Unless Texas is getting ready to rip up the roads and tear down the bridges I fail to see why anyone else should be concerned with another road down there.
In fact, I don't think Texas connects with the rest of the United States with as many roads as it has running to Mexico.
Their loyalty is suspect if all we do is check pavement.

"The problem is that the NAU, NAFTA Superhighways and SPP all go back to money," Goode stressed. "The multinational companies want their goods from Mexico and China because they want the cheap labor."

I guess you haven’t heard/seen the mega-highway’s being started - far larger than current interstate highways.

I would agree if that road is just another road.
What I do find alarming is the notion of putting inland “ports” (with questionable sovereignty) along that new “just another road”.
We’ll have to retire our tinfoil hats until the next big conspiracy comes along. But, what the hey, there’s always “Who shot JFK?”
I expect the usual troll swarm to start pretty quick, but that will just show you hit a raw nerve. Again.
