LOL, Sad but true. It is a very smart strategy on his part.

Bush has “been urging candidates: ‘Don’t get yourself too locked in where you stand right now.

Shrill and Slick should both be locked up in Leavenworth.

If the President believes that Hillary Clinton will continue a military presence in Iraq if she succeeds him, he is sadly mistaken. It would be political suicide for her to try to persuade the Democratic base to support continued involvement in Iraq. President Bush did not push hard for amnesty for the illegals, which alienated much of the GOP base, until after the 2006 elections.

She has no intention of pulling out . If Kerry were elected we would still be there as well. The Dims offer pullout lip service, but when it comes down to brass tacks, they know they can’t pullout , or they will risk a very destabilised Middle East .

What the Dims will do if elected is stay in Iraq and blame Bush and the Republicans for anything and everything negative that transpires from it .

If Hillary is elected , get ready for at least 4 more years of “ it’s Bush’s fault , and we are trying to clean up his mess “ statements .

"Which means he is assisting Hillary"

That sounds like freeper logic.

More likely, he knows she is going to be prez. Everybody else does.

In other words - you don’t have to vote Republican to keep this country safe from terrorists..a RAT will do just fine.

I remember those tax cuts for the middle class that Mr. Clintoon promised...that turned into retro-active tax increases.

...it is very unfortunate that Mr. Simmons wrote such a headline.

Mr. Sammons also certainly did NOT write the headline. In the print business, headline editors write headlines. Their concern is filling a certain amount of space with type of a certain size.

Plus, of course, summarizing the article's contents in a provocative (but not misleading) way.

It is the headline editor who screwed up with respect to "not misleading".

GWB needs to realize just who the Clintons are and how they would fight a War on Terror. For example, on January 20th 2001, President Clinton gave Marc Rich a pardon. Excerpt from an old World Net Daily article -

On top of that, Weinberg alleges, Rich bought crude oil from the Ayatollah Khomeini's Iran while Iran was holding U.S. citizens hostage. This was in direct violation of a U.S. trade embargo -- and, in effect, helped to arm the Iranians by giving them needed cash.

Clinton's and Carter's do not fight Wars on Terror. In fact, their history is Rich with examples of assisting those who commit the terror. Hillary will not be a GWB with a sex change. GWB needs to spend his time explaining to the American People what he is trying to explain to the Rats candidates.

“If you end up sitting where I sit, things could change dramatically.’ “

Like what? Social policy? Immigration? Health care?

Besides he gave Hillary a large part of what her “Universal Health Care” entailed back when she ran that show under Bill.

Don’t think so? Prescription drug program, medicare does not offer open choices on doctors or hospitals, privacy act, a medicare SSI recipient can not also get their own supplemental health care insurance or risk loosing the SSI, etc.

The article is good news, take a look at it

“Bolten said Bush wants enough continuity in his Iraq policy that “even a Democratic president would be in a position to sustain a legitimate presence there.”

“Especially if it’s a Democrat,” the chief of staff told The Examiner in his West Wing office. “He wants to create the conditions where a Democrat not only will have the leeway, but the obligation to see it out.”

To that end, the president has been sending advice, mostly through aides, aimed at preventing an abrupt withdrawal from Iraq in the event of a Democratic victory in November 2008.

“It’s different being a candidate and being the president,” Bush said in an Oval Office interview. “No matter who the president is, no matter what party, when they sit here in the Oval Office and seriously consider the effect of a vacuum being created in the Middle East, particularly one trying to be created by al Qaeda, they will then begin to understand the need to continue to support the young democracy.”

To that end, Bush is institutionalizing controversial anti-terror programs so they can be used by the next president.

“Look, I’d like to make as many hard decisions as I can make, and do a lot of the heavy lifting prior to whoever my successor is,” Bush said. “And then that person is going to have to come and look at the same data I’ve been looking at, and come to their own conclusion.”

As an example, Bush cited his detainee program, which allows him to keep enemy combatants imprisoned at Guantanamo Bay

The article content could be a cover for Bush advising Hillary. Who would be better suited to continue Bush’s policies than Hillary? Both families are close friends, and are working towards the same goals.

The Clintons and top Democrats called for disarming Saddam, and a regime change to stop him from acquiring WMD in 98, remember the passionent speeches? :^)

Not to mention open borders, North American Union, Mexican Trucks, Health Care for Illegals, Cheap labor, gradually being set up behind the scenes through the years, they’re on the same page!

The Clintons just want back in the White House. To do that they can do an LBJ on the war. All they have to do is say things have changed and Iraq and Iran is necessary to win the war. Doesn't matter what really happens. By the time ppl discover whats going on they will get their 8 more years.

We will be stuck with their policies for years after that.......
