Many of the Germans settled in Cinn. in the late 1840s on and some went to other counties such as Auglaize Co. Ohio a few yrs. later.
I think the USA took in more immigrants from Germany than any other European country. Who started all those breweries after all? Schlitz.... Budweiser.... Pabst.... Yuengling.... Coors.... I could go on and on.
