If you think a writer for the ap would be “defending conservatism” you are seriously confused.

Pass me some of that jalapeno koolaid you’re drinking. Then we can go graffiti some walls with “Jobs Americans Won’t Do.”

You may call it a AP hit piece

Well in all fairness, Liz Sidoti, AP and YaPoo aren't exactly what I'd call the height of unbiased credibility. Especially when all lumped together. LOL!

Bush certainly hasn't made all the right moves in his presidency, no president does. But history will treat the Bush Doctrine kindly I believe.

I don’t think the writer was defending conservatism. I think the many FReepers who disagree with the ‘defend bush at all costs crowd’ were.

I've been a member of the Republican Party for 30+ years. And in that time I've not only contributed large sums of money to both campaigns and causes, I've also been quite successful in promoting both party and values.

Standing up to the current batch of liberals who have an (R) next to their names does not make me a traitor; it makes me loyal to the party. But I wouldn't expect a political infant to understand that.

I wouldn’t want him were I a candidate. He is fiscally reckless, pro illegal, and has worked with Fat Teddy a little too much for my liking. Throw in things like Miers-gate and i’d rather he endorse someone elses candidate. He is like his father, a disappointing RINO.

“This is nothing but MSM/DEM spin....Walking the GOP into defeat.....”

Check this board hombre. People on here aren’t that fond of Bush and this is a conservative board. The AP isn’t making up anything (this time).

“You Republican “traitors” better start attacking the Socialist/Communist and stop trying to destroy G W Bush. “

Just because someone has an ‘R’ next to his name does not make him a conservative and does not mean I should support any old policy he has. Take Bush’s illegal stance. I find that terrifying and would never support it. Don’t attack people on here for valuing conservative principles more than valuing party affiliation.

If you’ll read around the forum over the last few weeks, you’ll note some great progress around Iraq and dealing with Al Qaeda. The violence is way down and our troops seem to be under less threat today than they were just months ago.

Sorry you haven’t noticed.
