I am against breed banning absolutely, hands-down All right.
Let's also be against species banning.
I'm sure some lions and tigers make nice pets and neighbors, too.
Let's not profile all lions and tigers because some have abusive owners.

Exactly. As far as I am concerned, although pit bulls do make a good stew we do not really need them around.

Breeds interbreed. A poodle breeds with a german shephard. The offspring breeds with a friendly, ratty mutt that is reminiscent of a terrier. What the hell do you call the result? You start banning breeds, you're down a horrible slippery slope of killing the freedom to own and love the pets of your choice. It is the wrong way, my FRiend.
Species don't interbreed, you knothead! Comparing species bans with breed bans is wasted effort.

A pit bull is a dog like any other dog. If we ban the breed, a couple of years later we'll be having the same discussions about Rottweilers or Dobermans, bcause the latent homosexual scumbags who abuse these dogs or let them run loose will pick some other breed that makes them feel like a big man.
Treat dogs like guns. Everybody has a right to own one, but the penalty for misusing one should be very steep.
