I would never shoot a charging pitbull once. That sucker would be a bullet magnet until it stopped twitching.
Now that’s a carry gun.
A tad difficult to bring to bear on something at your feet though.
Thank you.
It depends on the clothing. A cover shirt and a Galco In the Waistband holster works just fine.
Check my profile page for my carry gun. And yes, I didn’t activate the safety for that picture. Oops.
Middle of the biggest part of the profile it gives you. The first priority is to hit it.
Remember, even though this guy didn't kill the dog, he walked away.
His mistake was not finishing the job with a second shot.
By the way, I wonder what kind of gun his wife carries now.
No charges were filed against the owner????
If the dog recovers, gets out, and attacks someone else, Erickson will have as much moral guilt as the owner.
I am against breed banning. I AM for major prosecution of people who do not take proper care of their dogs.
I have two large akita mixes. My husband died a few years ago and they are my protection. (I live in FL). They actually are sweet as can be. They NEVER leave my yard unless I have them on a good lead, period.
Even if they were to just develop Houdini habits, I would have them put down.
When you hear of these stories of pit bulls attacking people, there are always indications in the story that the person was not caring for the dog. This is where the prosecutions should begin, in earnest, not when a poor abused animal, on its twentieth escape in the neighborhood, finally hurts someone.
Thank you.
Or at least gotten the fence fixed!
This dog won’t forget the guy either.
Man I love these pitbull threads, they bring out the good and the bad, the right and the wrong, the .... Oh well, you get the picture.
By the way, you’re wrong about bassett hounds. And about pitbulls too. The stats and studies have been done. Pitbulls should be banned if not shot on sight.
Exactly. As far as I am concerned, although pit bulls do make a good stew we do not really need them around.
If it's OK for these monster dogs to roam among us, then it needs to be OK for people to pack a firearm everywhere one goes.
Either that or the dog leaves it's teeth at home when it goes out.
The difference between a pit bull and a bassett hound is the difference between a machine gun and a BB gun.
One is illegal and the other kids can even play with.
I carry the same size concealed every day. With the right holster, no one will ever know it’s there.
LOL! I’d guess so.
