It is exactly the point. You say that we believe things we don’t (and, incidentally, try to use those things that we don’t believe as bludgeons), and mention isolated quotes as support for your claims.
When we tell you that you are mistaken, you take that as an attempt at deception (as in the erstwhile #100) or spin (as in #136), and you keep using the false accusation to continue bludgeoning us. I don’t pretend to understand this phenomenon; but I’ve seen it in several people here with whom I’ve engaged in apologetics.
