lets see:

Democrats demand a ever increasing PREBATE to adjust for cost of living EVERY SINGLE ELECTION CYCLE.

Every single business now has a NEW BURDEN of being a sales tax collector for the federal government.

There is a whole new federal bureacracy swelling the ranks of the federal employee union.

Illegal aliens sue to obtain their “justice” share of their prebate.

Democrats push for a prohibition of prebate for those who earn more than 50 thousand dollars.

Busniesses flood OUT f the USA because of the absurd tax burden.

State income and sales taxes are 100% unaffected.

The REALIZED tax burden to the average citizen jumps above 60% when totalled.

Seniors who planed for retirement are penalized as their tax exempt retirement expenditures on goods and services are taxed at rates higher than if they had done nothing.

Retirement planing goes EVEN LOWER. (why bother)

Outsourcing expands as corporations flee to spend their now taxed service dollars ANYWHERE else.

== == == ======

The fair sales tax is a snake oil scam and worse than the bad system we have now.

If anything the sum of its parts is WORSE than the individual elements taken seperatly. (The prebate is the biggest boneheaded idea and about as harmless as “social security is only a supplement not a pension”.)

The pundits and leaders are WISE to stay FAR away from this delusional wet dream.

(oh and for those who advocate it....scientology likes it)

It also taxes consumption because hidden taxes are factored into the price.

And you think corporations are going to "unhide" this factor and lower the price?

Illegal aliens sue to obtain their “justice” share of their prebate.

Don't forget for illegal aliens suing for the right to vote in federal elections as they are taxed without representation.

so how quickly would this fair tax become an internet sales tax? about .0000000000000000000000000000001 nanoseconds.

Fair tax will torpedo the US ecconomy as internet based sales flood offshore.

HECK even internet banking will go offshore to avoid the burden of this joke.

If the income tax is removed, and the law says that you are now entitled to that money, and the business doesn’t give it to you its called theft.

Businesses already do... Try not collecting FICA or SS for your employees, and not turning in W2s...

My predictions: 22% of small businesses go under in the first two months of FairTax as all utilities, rent, leases are taxed at a 30% rate, followed by half of small business dying within the first year. Credit card transactions come with a built in fee to cover the tax portion of the bill as remaining small businesses try to not lose any more money.

Guess again. Business to business taxes will be abolished. Fair Tax FAQ #1

New home sales tank as the 30% tax immediately improves the value of any used property.

Fallacy #2. You forget several key points. The effective rate(after the prebate) will lower the tax burden as people will not be taxed on necessities up to the poverty level. Only the wealthiest of the population will pay close to the maximum rate but they will be able to afford big ticket items. People will have more purchasing power with the elimination of federal income taxes from their paychecks. Interest rates on mortgages will drop due to the elimination of corporate taxes and much lower compliance costs. Businesses will be forced to pass those cost savings onto the consumer or lose business to their competitors.

Used car lots become the thing to invest in as new cars overnight go up in price by 30%.

This ignores the facts any used time has a much shorter life span than a new item. People will be able to afford new cars for the same reasons states above for homes.

Congress is faced with an incredible flood of cash, the largest they've ever had, as the ill thought out FairTax rate proves to far exceed government expenditures, leading to even more socialization with a New New Deal supporting liberals to one of the largest landslides in election history as people throw out the people who brought this inanely huge tax rate onto every purchase, everywhere.

The only point your missing is the fact The Fair Tax is revenue neutral It will collect the same amount of tax as the income tax. Fair Tax FAQ #6. No more and no less. You should read the The Fair Tax Act Of 2007 and read information at the Americans For Fair Taxation website before making anymore wild assumptions that clearly reflect you don't have any knowledge about The Fair Tax.

Profit is called theft? If a company is charging $10 for a Widget today they can charge $10 for it after the Fair Tax is enacted.

I will give you a real life example. Some dog food companies sell a 40 pound bag of dog food for X price. They will reduce the amount of food to 38 or 35 pounds, not so much you would notice, and keep the price the same. Then several months later they will label their bags "New 40 pound Size" and up the price.

Are they thieves?

And you think corporations are going to "unhide" this factor and lower the price?

They will be forced to pass on the cost savings due to competition. You only need to look at the airline industry as one example. As soon as one airline lowers its fares the rest follow.

All the retirees living on savings will love paying taxes when they spend their already taxed nestegg.

It is a stupid idea.

Guess again. Business to business taxes will be abolished. Fair Tax FAQ #1

Factory leases are not taxed, but any normal 'business expense' including advertising, retail store leases, utilities, are all, according to even the FairTax organization, subject to taxes. Only raw materials, store stock, or any other item which is transfered at the time of wholesale purchase is exempt. Oh, and shipping is taxed.

You forget several key points. The effective rate(after the prebate) will lower the tax burden as people will not be taxed on necessities up to the poverty level.

As the vast majority of Americans are far above the 'federal poverty level', the prebate covers a minority of their tax burden.

This ignores the facts any used time has a much shorter life span than a new item. People will be able to afford new cars for the same reasons states above for homes.

Been absolutely uninvolved in retail sales, I see. People will drive 25 miles to save a dollar, far exceeding the savings in gas usage and time. Go ask any auto mechanic how many 'rebuilds' they sale vs 'new parts'. Oh, wait, that's not on the FairTax faq.

The only point your missing is the fact The Fair Tax is revenue neutral It will collect the same amount of tax as the income tax. Fair Tax FAQ #6.

As the majority of the FairTax Faq is written by people who are armchair economists who depend upon the grossly underreported and underrepresented Federal GDP numbers, I contend that the FairTax, even if it has only a 20% fraud rate by retailers, will result in a net increase of income for the federal government of seventy percent. Even if /every/ item a small business uses in the course of retail sales becomes exempt, which the law, as written, does not currently exempt.

Oh, and for whomever pointed out that businesses have to file W2's already anyway, well, every property owner in the US who rents out property will also have to file a monthly form, as well as businesses who at present only have to file quarterly returns. The burden of paperwork dramatically increases under these new laws, not reduces, and as well, all businesses with employees continue to be required to report income yearly for their employees.

By Rush’s own definition of what a conservative should do, stand on principles, Rush should be supporting the Fairtax.

Rush is not supporting the Fairtax because he thinks it will never be passed.

If Rush listened to himself, he would support the Fairtax, because it is purist definition of conservatism wrapped up in a house bill which addresses taxes.

You are a moron because retirees are pay imbedded tax now on what they spend. Products will not cost anymore than they do today. Go to the fairtax.org website and read. You might learn something, maybe.

You have never been to Fairtax rally or meeting and seen on the grey hairs running around. I’m 48 years old and usually the youngest guy standing around.

Pull you head your head out your... and go see for yourself.

Three new predictions.

George Soros commits suicide.

Divorce is cut in half because American families now have 22.65% to 34.65% more spending money in their paychecks and are starting to learn how to save. Focus on the Family’s, Dr. Dobson, repents of evolution and accepts the Bible’s account of creation.

The most effective sign seen in front of George Tiller’s Clinic, “Don’t Abort Your Prebate Check”.

When the FairTax is enacted is the day the Stanley Cup finals will be held in Hell.

There are three ice rinks in Miami and that's damn close.
