Pearce Says Gordon Wrong to Blame Feds for Erfle's Death (police officer killed by illegal alien)

State lawmaker Russell Pearce says Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon is wrong to blame the federal government for Officer Nick Erfle's death at the hands of an illegal immigrant.
"That blame also belongs at the local level. We have an obligation to protect our citizens and enforce our laws, our citizens have a constitutional right to expect our laws to be enforce," says Pearce.
He is critical of a Phoenix policy that bans police from arresting illegals when their only offense is violating federal immigration laws.
Pearce says Phoenix is sanctuary city. "To ignore the obvious and not enforce the laws and to wait until after the commit a serious felony, til after the kill one of our citizens or our police officers to enforce laws is absolutely wrong and immoral."
"We have the right to ask and we have the right to act. These sanctuary policies are illegal and immoral and they ought to be removed to let police officers do their job."
Pearce also has harsh words for Scottsdale police, who arrested and released the alleged cop killer Eric Martinez after he'd been deported and re-entered the country.

Boy, talk about double-speak! The courts tell cities they have no right to enforce immigration laws, that immigration is a federal responsibility. Then when someone who gets in because the feds don’t uphold their end of the bargain kills someone and the cities dare to complain they’re told it’s not the fed’s fault but their fault.
Is there no end to the madness? It would be funny if it weren’t so deadly.

Any jurisdiction in the US which has a 'sanctuary' policy should be stripped of any and all Federal aid, including Highway funds.
Not one more dime from Mamma Fed until they report and turn over to ICE every single illegal they lay their hands on.

Current federal law 8USC 1373(a) PROHIBITS SANCTUARY CITIES. It reads as follows:
"Notwithstanding any other provision of federal, state, or local law, a federal, state, or local government entity or official may not prohibit, or in any way restrict any government entity or official from sending to, or receiving from, the Immigration and Naturalization Service information regarding the citizenship or immigration status, lawful or unlawful, of any individual."

The cop-killing ILLEGAL immigrant was in the borders of the USA.
That's the fault of the FEDS.
And maybe the locals (usually in a major metropolis) bear some blame.
But starting with Dubya and working down and laterally to Congress
and some nutty Federal Judges...
AND back in time to all the Feds that didn't enforce the employer-
employee provision of the 1986 Amnesty...
IMHO, most of the blame goes to the FEDS. Of any and all "parties".

I wonder if there are any enforcement mechanisms in that law.

I don’t think the courts tell the city they can’t enforce the immigration laws. I fact in the same county (Maricopa) the Sheriff (Arpio) does report, incarcerate and even deports illegals. The Mayor and city council have chosen not to ask the immigration status of those they arrest. This makes Gordon guilty of obscene hypocracy.

Gordon, the phoney, cries crocodile tears and is the biggest hypocrit in the world. He runs a defacto scanctuary city and he knows it. The gov (Nappy the bush biter) runs a defaacto sanctuary state and she(he) knows it!
What a croc of doo-doo.

The worthless, scum-bucket politicians like Gordon, Napolitano, Bush, McCain, Flake, and a thousand others enjoy pointing fingers back and forth.
Meanwhile, they shuffle the shells and continue to aid and abet in the invasion.
All our wars, all our brave men lost, all for nothing.
To: jwparkerjr
Sure the feds have dropped the ball, but local governments are picking it up and kicking it out of the arena.

I’ve never seen such a bunch of ridiculous men and wanna-be men acting like juveniles. “They aren’t doing it,” “It’s their fault,” “It’s your fault!!” on and on and on.
What do they care about all the collateral damage from the open border? Nothing, as long as they make their money.

"We have the right to ask and we have the right to act. These sanctuary policies are illegal and immoral and they ought to be removed to let police officers do their job." This war on terror is so important to protect our citizens at home........so police officers can be killed while in the line of duty, women can be raped, baby girls can be molested, teens can be mowed down in cars by illegals that are encouraged to just waltz in.

I don't know. Heavily Mormon here, so not very good. Looks like a Flake lock.
