Is “SS auxiliaries” a euphemism?

One of the things you never hear about Hitler’s rise to power is that he suffered under a “gender gap.”

He received significantly more votes from women than men.

“SS auxiliaries” refers, in this case, to female personnel in the SS who acted in a variety of capacities, including secretarial/ clerical, and guards of female prisoners. One of the more notorious [and I believe she was a Auschwitz] was Irma Griese.

SS auxiliaries was the term also applied to guards units composed of ethnic populations who worked at labor, concentration, and death camps. The Germans had a training facility for them at Trewinki [spelling?].
