I associate fatness with a sedentary lifestyle and too much emphasis on food.

I don’t think of it as black/white, rich/poor - just a choice of lifestyle.

Guess I’m odd.

i think it is more of a class issue

no doubt poorer folks are fatter

which seems like a paradox eh?

No. That’s called being young. Fatness was a sign of fertility and affluence less than 100 years ago. You are an ignorant baby by measure of human preferences over the ages. Only very recently has fatness become the pariah it is today. The California aberration has spread to mainstream America and from there into the world. I am a skinny, hairy, pasty, balding, white male by the way.
