I won’t deny that and neither does he. I think the question is motive. I give FDT a partial pass because the Democrats were and still are much better at doing soft money and issue ads than we are. They have more "loose income" from the Hollywood types who are their "rich" (Soros not withstanding) who will spend lavishly on causes. Our “rich are less interested in wasting money on such and invest in themselves and their business. IMHO, just from some reading and such, that was the motivation for several on our side for this. It just fits, because otherwise it makes no sense.

That is also why he has a time with it. he knows it worked out wrong and was perhaps wrong to begin with. but it is hard to back off something of that magnitude. In the end i think he will. I don’t think he is happy about it.
