Now why would voters be suspicious. Recently the state forced a rollback in out of control spending and taxes. No problem, the local pols just added a 13% surcharge-tax to all utility bills. Problem solved.

Frankly, in my current mood, I would cheerfully vote to deport the entire Congress plus my state legislature to Tonga. (Sorry Tonga, nothing against your country personally.)

That’s what politics is about. Reward your friends and punish your enemies. Everyone in Congress and the White House is an enemy to be punished. Either don’t vote, or vote ‘against.’
