I agree, we need to split the difference. During the day serious debate, at night good entertainment as we are schooled on the way things ought to be by those who channel the founders.

I was going to post this in a new thread for discussion, but I'll just mention this here.

IMHO, apologists on both sides of the Paul debate are all just talking in circles, repeating the same thing over and over and over.

I propose a single thread where everyone will post one message on the year or nay of Paul. No personal attacks, no cartoon pictures, no nicknames; just a reasonable argument for our side. The thread will have no responses, only one post per person is allowed and it will be tightly control by the moderator who will delete anything they see as non-debate worthy (like name calling or photoshops.)

We all then would make a pact with each other, if any thread turns into another 500 post rant on the same old things, those who participated in the thread would simply link to it and say to look there for your argument. This way we all say our peace, the threads don't turn into lampoons of the political process, and we can all discuss something else for a change.

Note, this doesn't mean people aren't banned from posting articles on any candidate, but we should keep normal discussion of the article separate from the typical running around in circles like every other Paul thread turns into.

Thoughts?
