Dear friend,

Our American way of life is under attack. And it is up to us to save it.

The world's elites are busy forming a North American Union. If they succeed, as they did in forming the European Union, the good ol’ USA will only be a memory. We cannot let that happen.

The UN wants to confiscate our firearms and impose a global tax. The UN elites want to control the oceans with the Law of the Sea Treaty. And they want to use our military to police the world.

Our right to own and use property is fading because bureaucrats and special interests are abusing eminent domain.

Our right to educate our children as we choose is under assault. "No Child Left Behind" is seeing to that. And our right to say "no" to forced mental screening of our school-aged children is nearly gone.

The elites gave us a national ID card. They also gave us the most misnamed legislation in history: The Patriot Act. And these same people are pushing to give amnesty to illegal immigrants and erase our national borders.

Record government debt is putting a burden on our children and grandchildren that is shameful.

Yes. Our American way of life is under attack. And it's understandable that many are concerned, even discouraged, about the kind of country our children and grandchildren will inherit.

But we must never let discouragement become surrender.

One reason I am NOT discouraged is because I know I am not fighting alone. Each day I head out I know that you and thousands of other patriotic, freedom-loving Americans are right beside me, standing brave and true for what is good and right.

I need your help now, more than ever, to save the country we love...for the people we love.

My wife Carol and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary early this year. We are proud parents of five children and 18 grandchildren. We love them very much, as I know you love your family.

As a U.S. congressman, I always think about the well-being of my family and of all the families of our great nation when I cast a vote or introduce legislation. I also remember that I have sworn a solemn oath to uphold and protect the Constitution of the United States.

For me, upholding that oath is the first and best way to preserve and protect the blessed American way of life for our children and grandchildren.

And now you know why I'm running for president of the United States.

Sincerely,

Ron

Ron Paul is a lot like Louis Farrakhan. 90% of what he says makes a lot of sense...then he drops that other 10% on you, and you look at him like he’s an alien that just landed.

Ron Paul’s ideas of supporting the military are not exactly a selling point.

Maybe so now, but he has always been pro-U.S. sovereignty, more so than Hunter and Tancredo combined.

I am curious, do you ever read your own posts and responses?

And that was a rhetorical question.

"Tell me, if the race boiled down to Paul or a Dem you wouldn't boogie to the voting booth for Paul just because a portion of his foreign policy sucks."

It is a mute point because Paul will not even come close to being the GOP candidate. My cat stands a better chance at being elected POTUS because he is smarter, tougher, better looking and more of a statesman.

If only he would stop the neocon crap, I would vote for him.

If only he would be not so anti-American, and stop his blame America first campaign, and start supporting our troops, and stop wanting to appease the terrorists, and stop wanting to wave the white flag of surrender to the terrorists, I might also be able to support him.

Moreso than Hunter? Where do you get that? No one fought harder and louder than Hunter did trying to stop NAFTA, the WTO, or the ridiculous trade agreements with China. Hunter opposed the LOST treaty in the 1980s and he opposes it now. Hunter has been FAR superior than Paul in trying to stop the waves of illegals invading our land. Hunter was an advocate for withdrawing from stupid arms control treaties well before it was fashionable. Your argument does not stand up to scrutiny. That is not to say Paul is not excellent on issues of sovereignty.

I don’t quite understand that, and I don’t think I will stand down. God Bless America and All who have taken care of America since 10 November 1775!

“Does the above post sound like the rantings of an anti-war leftist or neocon conspiracy kook to you? “

Umm, it’s not the “neo-cons” that are the conspiracy kooks, Mr. North American Union. The enemies they point to are real, and do things like fly planes into buildings.

You've been reasonably level-headed thus far. But you must have been high when you wrote that nonsensical statement.

Sure, I’d be happy to vote for Ron Paul because of the 90% that’s good. But I ain’t supporting him in the primaries, because he ain’t right on the war. How would “Turn tail and run” and “pull out all our bases from the Middle East” leave the terrorists quivering with fear??

It’ll be the year 2050 and you guys will still be complaining about the need to “stay the course.”

Great news is the surge will be working.

Back in the former United States, english will be a second language.

Side question? Who threw bombs that 22, 23 and 24 had to be yanked?

They were 3/4 of a multiple reply, probably caused by a system hiccup.

Paul has BEEN THERE, in Congress in the late 1970s advocating what Hunter was doing in the 1980s. He was truly ahead of his time. Yes, and he also supported Reagan’s military buildup and SDI alongside with Hunter. Maybe he wasn’t out there as Hunter was, but he supported it nonetheless. He couldn’t have opposed NAFTA or the WTO or been a hawk on border security as good as Hunter because he wasn’t in Congress from 1985 - 1997, he lost to Gramm in the Senate primary and returned to medical practice. The fact remains, is that he knew all of this stuff was going to come to a head while he was an outcast in the horrible late 70s.
