You might want to looks at a bit more history on the founding of the NAACP. It was originally set up by white liberals. Such as communist William Walling - "Mr. Walling had spent some years in Russia where his wife, working in the cause of the revolutionists", Dr. Henry Moskowitz, Mary White Ovington, Oswald Villard, etc.
