it is a constant battle to cleanse my own kids from the steady barrage of soul destroying crap foisted on us by the collective neurosis of media and academia

I am not optimistic for the future....folks will look back and call the 1950s our last shining age

I agree with everything you said. I too am concerned for our future and am not optimistic about it either. It is especially bothersome to me to see how many so called conservatives on this forum talk like a liberal leftist. There does indeed seem to be fewer of us social conservatives than there used to be, even here on FR. Who would have thought?

Apparently the only thing that the Columbia students reacted negatively to in Ahmadinejad's speech today at Columbia was him saying that there were not homosexuals in Iran. They laughed and booed. Everything else they let him mumble away about and even clapped for him.
