They can say it because he voted for the restrictions that were before him in Congress. He was always for restrictions, but pro-choice. Now he’s apparently pro-life. Just not enough to criminalize it in the first trimester or support a constitutional amendment to end it.
Obviously? Where is it so obvious? To whom?
Because he does have a 100% pro-life record, and specifically calls for the repeal of Roe v. Wade.
If Roe is reveresed, in most every state of the union, abortion would be seriously limited.
We could then work, from a grassroots level, to get further restrictions or bans in place.
That is how our Constitution is written; sorry it bothers you.
Maybe move to Venezuela where the President can just rule by edicts — it works so well.
Maybe because he voted 100% pro-life on every bill that affected right to life issues while he was in the US Senate, and got an A rating from National Right to Life and a Zero rating from Planned Parenthood and NARAL for all his 7 years in the Senate?
Why does the Thompson campaign keep saying he has a 100% totally total pro-life record?
That’s what his voting record from the senate reflects and he also gets top grades from the prolife legislative watchdog groups.
