On its surface it sounds reasonable, but once you get into it, like anything related to the government's attitude toward illegal immigration it has amnesty and open borders written all over it. In this instance, the Bush administration, via the Department of Homeland Insecurity (of course) is bypassing legislation and using the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to establish a 'rule' allowing illegal aliens who are supposed 'crime victims' to receive visas and special benefits. USCIS announced an interim final rule that grants "temporary immigration benefits" to crime victims who assist officials in investigating and prosecuting criminal activity. The goal is to bring crime victims out of the shadows. People eligible for "U innmigrant status" include those who have suffered substantial mental or physical abuse because of illegal activity and are willing to assist officials in the investigation and prosecution of the crime. Here we are creating nothing less than amnesty, again, using the issue of crime to manipulate Americans into accepting it. So, all you have to claim is "mental abuse" because of crime ("I live in a place where there's a gang! It upsets me!) and simply be 'willing' to help in some way with prosection, unlike other crime programs where your assistance is key to the CONVICTION of a criminal. Nope, the illegal just has to be 'willing.' But the capper is the nonexistent 'cap' - 10,000 special visas a year (which you know will be increased). But there's no cap on all these extended family members! They'll all be here the moment their illegal anchor get upset about experiencing some crime of one sort or another.

“It’s become very clear that the open borders amnestyites such as jorge and appointees need to be driven from office.”
Agreed. But we are wasting our time if we are crazy enough to elect another one.

My maxim?
Know every candidate's major financial backers, and inner circle as well as closest campaign and policy advisors. This more than anything else will speak VOLUMES about where he is going to eventually end up on these issues in the White House, more so than ANY campaigning, soundbites and position papers right now which is nothing more than Madison Avenue selling soap in a box.
It is sad but I see a lot of good conservatives be seduced by the latter, stampeding into supporting some viewed as "saviors", but failing to do this key work of DUE DILIGENCE on the men who would be The President, much as we would do a background check, look at references, and not just go on how a candidate did in a job interview for a critical team position we in business would hire them for.
I would think we have had our fill of being tricked by RINOs running for President. We need a "real deal" as the nominee of the G.O.P. this time around. There is not much time left for our country.
SSDD. The critters in Babylon-on-the-Potomac, whether RATs or RINOs, will persist until: 1) They are kicked out of office in the next election; 2) They keep trying to force shamnesty in various ways down our throats and push the 80% opposed to shamnesty too far and it blows up in their faces; 3) They kick the bucket after eating some bad sushi. One and two seem neck to neck as to which will happen first. One would be nasty and messy, two would be very nasy and very messy, three would be quick and neat but least likely to happen.
What is the status of the DREAM ACT anyways?
As far as I know it’s still pending but that amendment to Appropriations should be considered within hours.
Dam! I’m ashamed that I voted for this @$$hole!!
It’s going to be one world.
One world in which we are screwed out of a country!
For most, a bloody nose or a fat lap would be a small price to pay for continued residence in USA, riding the Greatest Gravy Train known to man.
BINGO!
GIVE THAT ONE A CUPI DOLL!
