Sorry Ann, can’t get with you on this. I have personal knowledge of doctors with take home wages running from the low of 20k/month to a high of 60k/month. That is after payroll taxes and after their outrageous insurance costs.

I'm going to guess Cosmetic Surgery. A lot of that is paid out of pocket, so good for them!!

This is a crime? I wonder what their work hours are, including on-call time. I don't think many people would take the time and money to train to become physicians if it were turned into a communist low paying job with killer hours.

I know a few doctors too, and they are hard working honest people (the ones I know any way). Their compensation reflects risk, years of hard work and training, and the fact that they do not have the personal time to even do simple things like mow their own lawn or take care of their own personal business. They have to hire help for a lot of things normal people do for themselves because they are always either working, on-call, or training.

Ambulance chasing lawyers like Edwards on the other hand do no service to mankind. They are leaches. Good honest lawyers who do not chase ambulances are ok since legal protection against the ambulance chaser variety is a service to mankind.

So what? Most of them bloody earn it. If you are suffering from class envy get off your duff and go to medical school.

Me? I don't want to work that hard so I risk capital instead.

So, how does that stack up to a utility infielder, a third string NBA guard, a utility winger?

I suspect that if patients could sign insurance waivers, doctors could compete better.

your personal knowledge is a bit flawed. Hubby and I are both doctors and we take home less than 20K per month combined. (and not just a little bit less)
