Good for them anyway! As I don't know how to diagnose much of anything, and can't perform surgery, I'm kinda glad to have them around.
And if it's a big enough deal, I'm willing to pay them what it takes.
There are a lot of docs ready to just shrug. They know they can pick up a lot of bennies when the fix is in. Like sick leave, personal holidays, overtime, lunch breaks...
They also know that the current litigation rate will have to abate--there is no way to run socialized medicine with the kind of legal climate we have. It'd all just shut down, as the docs are deprived of the income to pay their insurance, quit. Docs are picked from among the brightest college students. They'll find something else to do.
