This is such a sad situation. How horrible. See another version of the story at http://www.woodtv.com/Global/story.asp?S=7095705.

If convicted as charged, both boys also would have to register as sex offenders for life.Sounds good to me. That sort of thing does not stop.

When things like this make the news, I wonder, is there a reason to send to public schools?

I take it that there was an adult bus driver. So what was he/she doing while this was going on? Maybe somebody should have notified police that this was going on.

I certainly think that kids have access to watching South Park, and some episodes have been very explicit about decribing homosexual acts. I don’t think we can hold them blameless, even if the Rainforest episode was right on target.

I believe incidents like this are very isolated. Calm heads are called for here. The perpetrators should be punished accordingly, but I think making them register is over the top. But they need help, serious help.

Secular humanism chickens come home to roost. No God, no morals, moral relativism, your children are cannon fodder. Or in this case, whatever.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. If you want on/off this list, please freepmail me. The main Homeschool Ping List by DaveLoneRanger handles the homeschool-specific articles. This sort of thing happened in a neighboring community a few years ago. It never made it past the local news, though.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
And,,,I bet this a ¨good¨ school in a ¨good¨ neighborhood.
If you imprison children 9 months of a years, 8 hours a day, is it any wonder that they act like prisoners? And any child who rebels and refuses to cooperate with the police state imprisonment ( mis-named “Education” ) is hauled before judges and sometimes sent to REAL prison.
Honestly,,,,with the daily reports of abuse by teachers and school staff, and the poorly reported incidence of child on child abuse, why would any rational parent institutionalize their child for his education?
Oh...yeah! I forgot this never happens in a government defender´s blue ribbon school. Their children have never witnessed or personally experienced the physical, emotional, and sexual children inflict on each other.

Somethin' here doesn't add up...
The father of the 11-year-old boy, however, said his son merely witnessed the attacks and was himself a victim of a similar attempted sexual assault by the 9-year-old. He questioned the safety of students on Howell buses... Although the events reportedly happened at the end of the school year, Superintendent Chuck Breiner said he just learned of the alleged sexual assaults on Monday when the 11-year-old boy's father called him to ask why his son was questioned by the school principal and a police officer without his knowledge.

Gee, maybe they should start teaching about SEX in pre school! I’m being sarcastic. The MORE you throw this stuff in their face - the more they will try it!
