Actress Alicia Silverstone's latest role is that of a glisteningly vegetarian Venus, emerging unclothed from a swimming pool to promote People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals' goveg.com campaign in a TV ad premiering today in Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth.
"I'm Alicia Silverstone, and I'm a vegetarian," Silverstone says.
She's also naked, as evidenced by a brief flash of dorsal nudity about six seconds into the 30-second spot, which will air about two dozen times this week on the Food Network, Lifetime and E!.

True, she looks good, but she’s a looney.
I'm a member of the other PETA - People Eating Tasty Animals... ;-)
SAVE A COW!.....EAT A VEGAN.....
Re: PETA is really working for the mainstreaming of porn
While PETA does many things which deserve criticism, equating a tasteful nude photo to porn is beyond ridiculous.
On the left, we have people with BDS, who cannot think clearly when Bush’s name is mentioned. I would argue that the same happens on the right with PETA is mentioned, as evidenced by statements such as yours.
Wow, she’s just , like, so 1990’s, ya know!
Somebody’s career is faltering.
Yeah,Right!
Hard to believe the food network would allow this ad. However, if they do they have lost one viewer. I’d like to see a show or an ad or anything for once without all the garbage like this. So, she’s a veggan? So what? You can see what she looks like WITH her clothes on. It’s a gimmick and who cares? Other people are meat eaters...they don’t jump on food network and go naked. I’ll feel bad if the Food Network does this but not bad enough to continue watching it.
People who post that Ted photo should be banned.
People who post the Ellen Thomas Picture should be shot.
OOPs; photos of carnivores don’t quite cut it!
Good for Alicia to bare all for a cause in which she believes....minimize animal suffering.

I don't know what the food network is thinking, unless the ad was bundled in a package deal.
What a retard.
MAN LAW
Hi Alicia, I’m dfwgator and I’m a carnivore.
Whenever I feel like it.....
However, there’s just something lacking in PETA displaying women with walnut sized brains.
Vegetables are what food eats.
