The problem is we’ve set up another Islamofascist government that doesn’t allow for freedom of religion.
The alternative would have been to nuke Afghanistan, and kill millions of people who don’t deserve to die.
As this article points out, it takes time. The mountain valleys in eastern Afghanistan were as close to 300 BC as you could get. But Afghanistan DOES have a lot of people capable of learning...if given the time.
