GAINESVILLE - Police have released the incident report detailing the Tasering of a University of Florida student during a campus forum with Sen. John Kerry Monday, and the officer who actually Tasered Andrew Meyer wrote in the report that Meyer later told police, "You didn't do anything wrong."
VIDEO HERE: University of Florida student Tasered at Kerry forum
In the 12-page report, which gives accounts of the incident from the perspective of eight different officers who were present Monday afternoon, Officer Nicole Mallo writes that Meyer would only resist officers when cameras were present.
"As (Meyer) was escorted down stairs (at the University Auditorium) with no cameras in sight, he remained quiet, but once the cameras made their way down stairs he started screaming and yelling again," Mallo wrote.
Mallo was one of two officers who actually rode in the vehicle as Meyer was escorted to the Alachua County jail, and she said said he told them during the ride: "I am not mad at you guys, you didn't do anything wrong, you were just trying to do your job," according to Mallo's account.
Mallo also wrote in her report that he asked, at one point, if cameras would be present at the jail.

Despite humorous videos, pictures and acts attributed to Andrew Meyer online, friends of the University of Florida student insist his arrest Monday at an appearance by Sen. John Kerry was not any sort of publicity stunt.
"I think he just got scared," said Jon Levy, who identified himself as a student and a friend of Meyer's. "He is a funny person, but he is a funny person who really wants political change.
"He went there to ask some tough questions," Levy said.
Another friend and UF student, Michael Goldman, said he didn't believe Meyer intended for anything unusual to happen.
However, one of the many videos circulating of the incident was shot with Meyer's own camera.
Clarissa Jessup, who was standing near Meyer just before UF Police Tasered him and took him into custody, said Meyer asked her to film him asking Kerry a question just before he approached the microphone.
That has given rise to rumors that Meyer, who aspires to work in the national media, was hoping to get arrested or videotaped as part of some sort of elaborate stunt. But Jessup, who says she never met Meyer prior to the forum, says she thinks he simply wanted a video of himself talking to Kerry.
This is partially excerpted for length.
He will fit in with the MSM like a glove: Clinton was only impeached for a BJ, there are secret societies at Yale that run the world, local police officers who do their job will turn you over to "The Government" to have you murdered...etc, etc, etc
Lil Chuckie Schumer.
They were way late in TASERing his butt if you ask me.
When disrupting an event, you are then asked to go, refuse, the security places their hands on you and then you start to fight with them - TASER and remove the jerk.
Katie(Couric) bar the door!
Notice that the first officers trying to subdue Meyer are small women. There is no way they can subdue an unwilling large man without help from male officers. Add to that mix the UF Police Chief, Linda Stump.
Any man wanting to wrestle female officers and try to get away have a better than even chance of doing that if he can manange it before the arrival of male officers. Political correctness is more important than the safety of female officers out patrolling on their own or the idea that whoever is out there must be able to reasonably protect themselves.
Imagine for a moment that Meyer was either black or the speaker was a Republican. Do you think the MSM would be down on Meyer like they are here or blaming it on the speaker if either of the other characteristics were present? Had that been Fred Thompson on the stage or Tyrone Doe in the audience, the conversation would be totally different today.
He should try out for the WWE.
Taze him again... and again!
He screamed and cried like a baby for the cameras. Ohhh ... the inhumanity of it all! He will be the next Geraldo Rivera.
Exactly ... and there would be a 'Law & Order' episode showing that a Conservative speaker caused his reactions and the following riots where 3 people were killed.
LOL! Yep, That’s “Law & Order”...or CSI, take your pick.
I am stunned he did not go help this poor kid. s/
I'm also deeply sorry if Senator Kerry was embarrassed by this unfortunate incident... well, not really. He's an ass too.
I had a feeling Taser Guy was a phoney from the gitgo!
Probably a plant from the DNC in the first place, LOL.
Backfired on Kerry. Wonder who would want Kerry to look bad ...maybe....AL GORE?!?!?!
/Church Lady off ;-)
As a cop friend explains it:
I’ll ask you to leave.
I’ll tell you to leave.
I’l MAKE you leave.
He got to #3 all on his own steam.
And he screamed like a girl when they tasered him.
They always do ;)
Give it time.
L&O is still in production, right.
“Ripped from the headlines*”
* All minorities will be changed to white and all liberals will be portrayed as conservatives
Amazing.
Isn’t a forum where Kerry is speaking to students a perfect example of ‘political speech’? Which has the highest First Amendment priority for protection?
I watched the kid ask Kerry pointed compound questions. That happens every day at White House press conferences, and the questions are our petulant national media?
Do they get arrested for asking questions? No. Tasered? No.
The kid did nothing disorderly except ask pointed questions. No other “acts” that I could see. “Speech” alone, based on the content, was his ‘offense’. That’s what the First Amendment protects.
What’s wrong with you all?
He had already been told the time for questions was over. However, once this episode turned into a wrestling match, Kerry should have come down from the stage and intervened and allowed the young man to speak. He would have come across as the hero and the kid would be seen as the nut he is. But alas, once again, Kerry blew it. Too bad. Well....its not real real bad.
Why does the MSM keep saying this little schmuck was “Tasered”? It was just a stun gun. A Taser is far more powerful and involves projectile electrodes.
If you watch the video carefully, you will see the female cops hang back once the wrestling begins. They flitter around the edge trying to contribute, but that politically uncorrect lack of physical ability keeps them outside the danger zone.
This is not atypical at all. It happens in police work all the time and is the reason most male cops do not want a female partner. The bottom line is it puts their lives in danger. But speaking up brings termination quickly.
