The plaintiffs feel crushed.
I suspect that's an inadequate description for the "shock and awe" they experienced
in an American courtroom...and even made more bitter when it
was the NUTBURGER Ninth Circuit.
The plaintiffs were probably convinced by the adoration from
the ACLU/Code-Pink/"Freedom-Fighter" echo-chamber they've lived in...
that this sort of judicial defeat just couldn't be found in a
fevered liberal swamp like The Ninth Circuit.
I don't care if the decision was strictly made "on the law" or if
some liberal Jewish judge had an epihany (Hey, I can't let terrorists
enrich themselves!) or a closeted evangelical Christian, or even
an lucid atheist/agnostic woke up and decided that letting terrorists
earn $$$ is "just wrong".
Whatever the REAL origins of the decision....it works for me
at this juncture.

Finally, a 9th circuit ruling that won’t be overturned.

The court was not persuaded, even with the help of that Amicus Curiae brief filed by Aunt Jemima. They were swayed by a brief filed by the Log Cabin Republicans.

Actions.
Consequences.
Didn't the manufacturer of the bolts that held the treads on the tractor also get sued?
Is that dismissed too?

From Wikipedia:
On January 4, 2006, two Palestinians, one carrying a gun, entered the home of Samir Nasrallah, whose former home Rachel Corrie was trying to protect when she was killed. Corrie’s parents were staying overnight there, and it was reported that the gunmen had tried to kidnap them, but had abandoned their plans when told who his guests were. In response, the International Solidarity Movement (ISM) issued a statement denying that the Corries were the targets of an intended kidnapping. The Jerusalem Post reported Craig Corrie as saying: “there was never a threat made against us and the gun was never pointed at anyone.” According to the Post, Craig Corrie said that when he entered the room and saw the man with the gun, he feared it might be a kidnapping attempt, but that the situation was never described to him that way by his host.

Can I sue Saudi Arabia for producing the 9-11 terrorists and killing my family and friends? Survivors and families were barred if they accepted payments from the compensation fund. The first victims lawsuit goes to court next week. Saudi Arabia? James Baker was successful in representing them. Most Saudi officials were successful in being dismissed from the suit, so the airlines and airport(s) are left as the defendents.
