The Divine Darleen catches fave arch-Lefty Jane Hamster in some steamy, grrrl-on-grrrl, bodice ripping action with Dem Truth to Powerer Liz Edwards. Oh, do tell!
Hamshers Discipline thread is generating a lot of salivating, high-fives and further inanities. The way I see it, we can discipline people like Mrs. Edwards into following a consistent dialogue and line of attack, but how do we get the Corporate Media to change their ways?
I think I will write Elizabeth a letter of my own. Civility does not work in DC anymore.
Grrrrlfriend! How many ways can you say, schooled! Call us what you want, but never call us late to a rousing good schadenfreude-fest! She had us at discipline. The very thought made us go weak-kneed and positively tingly inside...
On the otter heiny, that's hardly surprising. With a husband in Baghdad things haven't been exactly steamy around Villa Cassandrovanita lately... unless one counts the last time we made an oversized pot of tortilla soup. Be that as it may, we can't help but find the prospect of The Tolerant Left spanking those who dare to stray off message too delicious for words.
You have to love watching Lefties twist themselves into rhetorical pretzels. All the high-minded talk about 'questioning authority' and how dissent is the lifeblood of a healthy democracy goes right out the window when they are the ones being questioned. Then - suddenly - it becomes "My side right or wrong! And don't you DARE question my authority, much less stray off the intellectual reservation!"
Hamster: You never repeat right wing talking points to attack your own, ever. You never enter that echo chamber as a participant. Ever. You never give them a hammer to beat the left with. Just. Dont. Do. It.
Taylor Marsh: ...talk about a gift to the wingnuts. Why do some Democrats always cave when things get tough? Mrs. Edwards couches it in terms of her military family. Well, I've got military in my family (one deceased) and the one thing you never do is stab one of your own in the middle of a nasty fight, and if you're looking at the media coverage on this lately it's clear we're in one.
Notice Hamster calling it "that echo chamber" as she's demanding Edwards (who is not even a candidate, but a family member) unquestioningly echo the party line! Too funny! And we thought it was Reichies who were fearful of ambiguity, authoritarian, and unreceptive to new ideas?....
It’s a good thing we don’t get banned here for bad spelling, or I’d have been banned in my first week. My comment for with the title of this post should have included “Elizabeth,” spelled with a “z.” Sorry about that.
