When someone points a gun in your face and takes your property, it doesn't matter whether you want to "press charges" or not. It is entirely up to the prosecutor whether or not charges will be pressed.
A crime was committed. It will be "The People of the State of Nevada v. Simpson" and not "The Victim v. Simpson."
