O.J. Simpson has been arrested in Las Vegas and will likely be charged on three counts -- conspiracy to commit armed robbery, armed robbery and armed robbery with a deadly weapon, according to CNN.
Story developing ...
-- O.J. Simpson denies theft, says items were his --
If O.J. Simpson is concerned about his most recent brush with the law, it was not apparent Saturday as the former NFL star lounged poolside at the Palms Hotel.
"I'm not walking around feeling sad or anything. I've done nothing wrong," Simpson told the Los Angeles Times. "I'm having a great time."
Besides, he quipped, "I thought what happens in Las Vegas stays in Las Vegas."
One of two collectors who accused Simpson of armed robbery told the Associated Press on Saturday that he was "on O.J.'s side" and wants the case dropped.
"I want this thing to go away," said Alfred Beardsley, a Burbank collector who told police Thursday that Simpson and several other men stormed a Las Vegas hotel room and stole memorabilia at gunpoint.
Beardsley said he called police only because the items were valuable and if he had not reported them as stolen he would be "held accountable for all the stuff."
Las Vegas police said they had been in touch with Beardsley, who had not formally withdrawn his complaint. Even if he does, "we still have a responsibility to investigate. He was not the only victim," Lt. Clint Nichols said.
Another collector in the room, Bruce Fromong, had not indicated that he wants to drop the complaint.
Earlier, Simpson offered the most detailed account to date of the confrontation Thursday night.
Simpson said he and his friends went to the Palace Station Hotel to reclaim various football souvenirs and personal photos, some of them taken by his slain ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson.
Simpson said he brought some "golfing buddies and some of their friends" to the meeting to help him carry his belongings out of the hotel.
He vehemently denied that he or any of the other men were armed.
"I'm O.J. Simpson. How am I going to think that I'm going to rob somebody and get away with it?" he said during a 20-minute interview

Two bits the charges will be dropped, and OJ and his friends walk.
And I would have no problem with that outcome. --- Comments?
I read the same thing too. I’m not too sure of what to think about the ‘victim’ yet. I had to ask myself that if I were a person so distraught by the injustice of the OJ trial, would I, if given the opportunity, fabricate a crime just to see some sort of justice handed out to him.
I am confused, however, about this ‘gun’ report. I thought his M.O. was of the sharp blade type.
You've lost all hope
Apparently your Vegas trips never took you off the strip much. Unfortunately, the demographics are all too similar.
Hillary’s got to be loving this.
He is a double murderer...nobody ever accused him of being illiterate and stupid.
The two are mutually exclusive.
I'll always feel that Marcia, and the rest of the prosecution team, deliberately threw the case
The Los Angeles Establishment did NOT want another LA riot, no matter what the cost.
Fuhrman, on the telephone, said “Why did they bring guns to a wedding/rehearsal dinner? And, BTB, he lost everything in the civil suit, so he didn’t have title to all the stuff that he said was his, and the police don’t need Simpson’s help to conduct a “sting”, if that’s what was needed, etc.”
Yea, i just read where the sports trader wanys the charges dropped.

LOL! He’s insane. This picture tells the story. ;o)
If OJ was home reading a book out looking for the real killers this never would have happened.
I wonder if he read his own book?
sw
Shoot him.
If your post 188 hadn’t been about OJ, I would have thought that you were talking about Hillary.
And...the added aspect is that most of them just never grew out of their teen-age years when most are asserting their personalities. Somehow narcissists are "stuck" in those teen years, when they learned how to charm people (with toothy smiles, flirtatious words/behaviors, wide-eyed looks, etc.), fantasize (as teens do about sex, fame, etc.), try to get away with things we knew our parents did not want us to do, etc. A narcissist never grows out of that need to get the "teen-age rush," that all teens try to experience growing up. A narcissist just never outgrew that need to get attention, or to shock, or to do something a little questionable, and then try to manipulate others to excuse their behavior. All behaviors most teens live through and then progress out of to maturity as they become able to be empathetic, act responsibly, and loose their defensive arrogance . Narcissists are eternal children fighting for attention of any type, but now in adult bodies. They have played the game so long, they are skilled actors. They often remain very charming, well-mannered and disarming. They can feign sincerity, because they observe it in others and can play the role, simply to gain the trust of others they need, never because they have any real concern for anyone. But, when you cross them, or insult them (even a minor insult) they cannot recover - and they become vindictive. That is when they become frightening!
Politicis is just one career that entices narcissistic people. And, as I said, some degree of narcissism is good - we all are narcissistic to some degree. We need to feel the security of our own beliefs so enough narcissistic behavior to give you strength in your own convictions, and self-esteem, in other words, is good.
But, when the line between legal and illegal activity becomes blurred by a narcissist, therein lies the difference. As usual, there is a real problem separating the acts of leaders of any type (be it in politics or entertainment or sports) from those of others who are simply "assertive," "demanding," "persevering," "talented,"etc. Those are traits that we admire and respect.
A narcissist is keenly aware of the difference, and willing to cross the line anyway - because he/she feels he/she has the "right" to do so; they are above the law - legal or moral, in their minds. They feel they are just very special, and that others simply are beneath them and laws are only for those lowly masses.
OJ Simpson is just a prime example. I will leave it to others to suspect who else fits that description of Narcissism. We see so many in the public eye today who are severely affected by their own negative narcissistic personalities. And, a narcissist must control...they must manipulate...they must lie and continually cover-up and excuse their lies. That is what makes them dangerous. There is no real truth to a Narcissist...only his/her desire to do exactly what he/she wants so they believe their lies to themselves, and they continually work to convince others they are always right..., by manipulating, threatening, charming, controlling, whatever it takes. And that constant effort becomes the focus of their world, rather than ever, ever looking at the truth, or laws, or moral standards.
