I have yet to see a situation where diplomacy has stopped a war. It has worked to facilitate a delay or aid in extortion payments. Diplomacy sounds nice. A peaceful end to a dangerous situation, but the reality is far different.

As a bonus, the Israelis proved they could penetrate the Syrian air defense system, which is stronger than the one protecting Iranian nuclear sites.

I thought they did that earlier when they buzzed Assad's home?

A very intereseting read to say the least. The Syrians must continue to simmer in their pot, with little hope of lowering the burner.

“Uh huh... Go on? You grasshopper are starting to see. So where would Iraq Bio/Chem material go where it could vanish?”

You ask a question unrelated to my comment....at least in the context of the thread.

Where were US planes that there could be some potential for mistaken attacks? Hmmmmm.

I read an interesting article, paragraph 20 I think, earlier today that might answer your query, at:

I hope it is ok to link to the site above. Moderators, please correct if I'm in error.

They were able to buzz and recently attack targets and take them out.

Hopefully, the atomic scientists working there went directly to hell.

This is my new bedtime story: I re-tell it to myself every night. I wonder if that Adnan Shrumji ‘mr. nuclear’ just happened to be clocked in at the ex-facility.

More confirmation of the attack is coming out. Netanyahu gave his take on it, and confirmed it.

The North Korean shipment and the actual strike deep in Syria is being talked about on ABC TV news tonight. Netanyahu of Israel elaborated further. Bush today did not touch it with a 100 foot pole when asked about it.

Tiger, More on this is developing. ABC TV news ran with it tonight US time in the states. Netanyahu gaves his insight about the attack. Bush gave a veiled warning to DPRK, not too strong in my book, but a warning none the less.

The Russkies are also not so happy that their air defense hardware is useless.

Sho' yo' right, but they will learn a lot from this live exercise, and be harder to defeat the next time.

My son was a Weapons Director at Balad in Iraq.

He said it was routine to coordinate ID codes with Israelis so we and they wouldn't shoot each other down.

Syria borders Iraq so it is possible for aircraft to see each other.

North Korea is at a sensitive stage of negotiations to end its nuclear programme in exchange for security guarantees and aid, leading some diplomats to cast doubt on the likelihood that Kim would cross America’s “red line” forbidding the proliferation of nuclear materials

One of the dumber sentences I've read in recent months.
