True. Everytime I hear that, I am reminded of an old cartoon from a 1982 issue of Hustler magazine where it had a picture of a junkie with a belt tightining around his arm getting ready to shoot up on heroin as Ronald Reagan was on the TV saying, "we need to tighten our belts." I dunno, I guess there are times I feel cynical of both side of the aisle here, hence I need my dark humor. The only thing that I would really be for is if it would help the American people, don't care if the idea comes from the left or right side of the aisle, or The Man in the Moon for all I care. To me, the true conservative is the one who holds that ideal in mind although I've gotten a lot of flak for it. I wish I still had that cartoon, I'd post it, don't worry, it would be PG-13. B-)
