I don't recall his having a law degree, but he could earn one easily, and he'd probably be a first rate lawyer for the Rutherford Institute or something similar and could put certain important cases 'on the map', so to speak.
Alternatively, if he's adamant about working in government, he should probably take a page from the Jerry Brown playbook, and get elected mayor of a major municipality that's in trouble. He'd probably be able to do a turn-around for that city, and thus become qualified to run for Governor, if public administration is really his main interest.
Otherwise both he and Newt Gingrich will make interesting additions to the debates as advocates, but we should probably start seeing a series of more Lincoln-Douglas (one-on-one)style real debates instead of the Q&A's we've had so far.
Keyes is too much of an abortion demagogue to get elected anywhere. He’s a one-note candidate. He needs to realize there are other issues facing the world.
True
......could put certain important cases 'on the map'.....
This is why I don't mind him participating in the race.
.....Jerry Brown playbook, and get elected mayor.....
Good advice.

That would be nice and very informative for the folks, therefore the establishment that holds/seeks power, money and self interest will not let it happen.
“we should probably start seeing a series of more Lincoln-Douglas (one-on-one)style real debates”
This would be great. I seem to recall Fred T saying as much a short time ago in a interview. Not likely to happen though as no one wants to be really specific on issues these days. Vague, general, please the crowd answers seem to be the order of the day in debates.
