We had the cop killing incident here in Miami on Thursday, and it was obvious while driving around that there was a serious mobilization of force. It occurred to me that this guy’s chances were zero - he was either motivated by an urge for a police assisted suicide, or just plain stupid. Sure enough, when police located him, well, he didn’t manage to survive. Contrast that with police in my former longtime home of Madison, Wisconsin, where they would have brought in counselors to help the poor chap overcome his bad childhood.
In this park instance - the guy should have left the park in a body bag, with a well ventilated skull.
