Colonial Pennsylvania frontiersman (and His Majesty’s indian agent) Conrad Weiser was gored to death by his pet deer. An antler tip pierced his femoral artery and he bled to death. I don’t think I would want a pet buck during rut season.

A few years back there was a professor of biology on vacation in TX. He saw an elk, and they pulled over to admire it.

The prof went up to it, and had his femoral artery slashed. He died in front of his adult son.

There's another TX story about an exotic animal hunting preserve. A couple of guys take a pickup in to it, and while on foot, get surprised by some non-North American beast.

They made it back to the truck, but the animal did a number on it before they could get away. I always wondered about the truck owner filing an insurance claim.
