The threats, recorded on audio, came a day before Madonna arrived in Israel to celebrate the Jewish New Year with fellow Kabbalah practitioners.
"If I meet these whores I will have the honour to be the first one to cut their heads off if they will keep spreading their satanic culture against Islam," said Muhammad Abdel-Al, spokesman and senior leader of the Popular Resistance Committees terror organization.

There’s a temptation to joke about this, but there’s really nothing funny and nothing new. There have been general threats to kill American celebrities before, and a few years back Madonna canceled a scheduled concert in Israel because of Muslim threats against her children.
This is just more of the sick mentality of Muslims who believe their religion gives them justification to murder those who do not share their beliefs. And there are plenty who would carry out threats against celebrities if they could, with some of them living in the USA.
Nowadays, yes. But they both had a period of talentless hotness.

I was a roots rock kind of guy back when Madonna first hit the scene (still am, actually), so I really didn’t like the whole thing she portrayed back then. The material girl thing just didn’t square with me.
As for Britney, when she came onto the scene, I was nearly, if not already, beyond 40. The last thing I found hot was some late stage teeny pretending to be worldly about sex. I prefer women to girls.
